Thomas Stone Cougars (Waldorf, MD) supporters left the game happy Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting North Point Eagles (Waldorf, MD), 45-38 in a league match.

With the victory, Thomas Stone advances its record to 5-3 on the year. The Cougars travel to Leonardtown (Leonardtown, MD) to face the Raiders in a Southern Maryland match on Wednesday, January 14. The Raiders enter the match with a record of 5-3. Leonardtown won 59-55 in their recent league match against Chopticon (Morganza, MD)

The Eagles now own a 4-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Great Mills for a Southern Maryland match on Wednesday, January 14. North Point will face a Hornets squad coming off a 75-53 non-league loss to Flowers (Springdale, MD). The Hornets record now stands at 9-1.
