The Meridian Wildcats topped the visiting Brandon Bulldogs basketball team by a final score of 53-43 in Friday's league game.

In their next game, the Wildcats face the Harrison Central Red Rebels (Gulfport, MS) in a non-league game, on Saturday, January 14. Meridian will attempt to move on its 8-2 season record. The Red Rebels enter the game with a 13-8 record after their 52-47 league win over Hancock (Kiln, MS).
