Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Deer Lakes trounces Valley
January 13, 2023: New Kensington, PA 15068 The Deer Lakes Lancers (Russellton, PA) basketball crushed the host Valley Vikings (New Kensington, PA), 76-32 in Friday's league test.
The Lancers (7-6) will now prepare for their test against Shady Side Academy (Pittsburgh, PA). The Bulldogs go into the WPIAL 3A 3 test with a 9-3 record. In their last test, Shady Side Academy walloped Derry (Derry, PA), 66-63, in a league test.
The Vikings now own a 3-11 record. They play next when they travel to Burrell for a WPIAL 3A 3 test on Tuesday, January 17. Valley will encounter a Bucs squad coming off a 58-49 non-league loss to Woodland Hills (Pittsburgh, PA). The Bucs record now stands at 7-6.
