California High School Basketball - Sweetwater fells Hilltop

January 13, 2023: National City, CA 91950

Sweetwater Red Devils (National City, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Hilltop Lancers (Chula Vista, CA), 58-44 in a league bout.

With the win, Sweetwater upgrades its record to 5-13 on the season. The Red Devils travel to Mar Vista (Imperial Beach, CA) to play the Mariners in a South Bay bout on Wednesday, January 18. The Mariners go into the bout with a record of 12-6.

Next up, the Lancers play the Clairemont Chieftains (San Diego, CA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 14. Hilltop will attempt to upgrade on its 4-14 season record. The Chieftains go into the bout with a 14-2 record after their 64-61 league win over Canyon Hills (San Diego, CA).
