In Friday's league outing, the Hilltop Lancers (Chula Vista, CA) basketball squad edged the visiting Sweetwater Red Devils (National City, CA), by a count of 67-63.

The Lancers (7-16) will now prepare for their outing against Mar Vista (Imperial Beach, CA). The Mariners go into the South Bay outing with a 17-7 record. In their last outing, Mar Vista held off Southwest SD (San Diego, CA), 76-68, in a league outing.
