Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Starmount Rams (Boonville, NC) and the visiting Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC), saw Starmount's basketball squad wallop Alleghany by a tally of 68-27.

With the victory, Starmount improves its record to 8-7 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Forbush (East Bend, NC) to confront the Falcons in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 20. The Falcons come into the challenge with a record of 11-6. Forbush lost 43-39 in their recent league challenge against North Wilkes (Hays, NC)

Next up, the Trojans confront the Mount Airy Granite Bears (Mount Airy, NC) in a 1A Conference 36 challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. Alleghany will attempt to improve on its 0-15 season record. The Granite Bears come into the challenge with a 8-3 record after their 46-28 league win over Elkin (Elkin, NC).
