The Northwest Catholic Lions (West Hartford, CT) basketball knocked off the host Avon Falcons (Avon, CT), 46-30 in Friday's league test.

The Lions (7-3) will now prepare for their test against Canton (Canton, CT). The Warriors go into the non-league test with a 4-4 record. In their last test, Canton went down by Granby Memorial (Granby, CT), 40-27, in a league test.

The Falcons now own a 6-3 record. They play next when they host East Catholic for a non-league test on Friday, January 20. Avon will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 66-28 league loss to East Hartford (East Hartford, CT). The Eagles record now stands at 5-5.
