Connecticut High School Basketball - Simsbury crushes Avon
January 9, 2023: Avon, CT 06001 Simsbury Trojans (Simsbury, CT) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Avon Falcons (Avon, CT), 52-27 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Simsbury upgrades its record to 6-1 on the season. The Trojans travel to Windsor (Windsor, CT) to clash with the Warriors in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 6-2. Windsor lost 50-47 in their recent non-league bout against Staples (Westport, CT)
Next up, the Falcons clash with the Hall Titans (West Hartford, CT) in a Central Connecticut - West Colonial bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Avon will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record. The Titans go into the bout with a 1-4 record after their 69-25 non-league loss to Bacon Academy (Colchester, CT).
