The Weskan Coyotes (Weskan, KS) basketball felled the host Triplains/Brewster Titans (Brewster, KS), 45-25 in Friday's league test.

The Coyotes (4-5) will now prepare for their test against Wheatland-Grinnell (Grainfield, KS). The Thunderhawks go into the Western Kansas Liberty test with a 5-4 record. In their last test, Wheatland-Grinnell thwarted Dighton (Dighton, KS), 33-31, in a non-league bout.

Next up, the Titans clash with the Northern Valley Huskies (Almena, KS) in a Western Kansas Liberty bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Triplains/Brewster will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Huskies go into the bout with a 5-4 record after their 49-35 non-league loss to Decatur Community (Oberlin, KS).
