Virginia High School Basketball - Westmoreland nudges Colonial Beach
January 13, 2024: Colonial Beach, VA 22443 Westmoreland Eagles (Montross, VA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Colonial Beach Drifters (Colonial Beach, VA), 53-47 in a league bout.
With the victory, Westmoreland improves its record to 3-5 on the campaign. The Eagles host Northumberland (Heathsville, VA) to play the Indians in a Northern Neck challenge on Tuesday, January 16. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 4-3. Northumberland won 53-28 in their recent league challenge against Essex (Tappahannock, VA)
Next up, the Drifters play the Essex Trojans (Tappahannock, VA) in a Northern Neck challenge, on Tuesday, January 16. Colonial Beach will attempt to improve on its 4-5 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 2-6 record after their 53-28 league loss to Northumberland (Heathsville, VA).
