In Tuesday's league contest, the host Ferndale Yellow Jackets basketball team scored a good 53-45 win over the Blacklick Valley Vikings.

The Yellow Jackets (6-5) will now prepare for their contest against Rockwood (Rockwood, PA). The Rockets come into the non-league contest with a 0-11 record. In their last contest, Rockwood was topped by North Star (Boswell, PA), 69-13, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Vikings battle the Turkeyfoot Valley Area Rams (Confluence, PA) in a contest, on Thursday, January 16. Blacklick Valley will attempt to better on its 7-6 season record.
