The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Montour Spartans (McKees Rocks, PA) and the host Moon Area Tigers (Moon Township, PA), observed Montour's basketball team edge Moon Area by a score of 51-45.

The Spartans (10-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Lincoln Park Performing Arts (Midland, PA). The come into the WPIAL 5A 4 challenge with a 1-8 record. In their last challenge, Lincoln Park Performing Arts was tipped by South Fayette (McDonald, PA), 59-40, in a non-league challenge.
