In Tuesday's league test, the Moon Area Tigers (Moon Township, PA) basketball squad knocked off the visiting Mars Fightin' Planets (Mars, PA), by a score of 51-43.

Next, the Tigers encounter the West Allegheny Indians (Imperial, PA) in a WPIAL 5A 4 test, on Friday, January 10. Moon Area will attempt to improve on its 10-2 season record. The Indians come into the test with a 5-6 record after their 83-60 league loss to Montour (McKees Rocks, PA).
