December 28, 2024: Pittsburgh, PA 15229 Mars Fightin' Planets (Mars, PA) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host North Hills Indians (Pittsburgh, PA), 83-55 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Mars advances its record to 6-3 on the year. The Fightin' Planets host Montour (McKees Rocks, PA) to face the Spartans in a WPIAL 6A 2 match on Friday, January 3. The Spartans enter the match with a record of 7-1. Montour won 74-68 in their recent non-league match against Dobyns-Bennett (Kingsport, TN)
The Indians now own a 2-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pine-Richland for a WPIAL 6A 1 match on Friday, January 3. North Hills will face a Rams squad coming off a 71-56 non-league win over Beaver (Beaver, PA). The Rams record now stands at 4-3.
