In Tuesday's league contest, the visiting Huss Huskies basketball team scored a close 58-55 win over the South Point Red Raiders.

The Huskies (9-4) will now prepare for their contest against Stuart W. Cramer (Belmont, NC). The Storm come into the 3A Big South contest with a 14-1 record. In their last contest, Stuart W. Cramer edged Crest (Shelby, NC), 66-50, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Red Raiders battle the Crest Chargers (Shelby, NC) in a 3A Big South contest, on Friday, January 17. South Point will attempt to better on its 10-4 season record. The Chargers come into the contest with a 4-7 record after their 52-50 non-league win over Shelby (Shelby, NC).
