The Old Town Coyotes basketball team scored 40 points and limited the host Mount Desert Island Trojans to 33 in the Coyotes league triumph on Tuesday.

The Coyotes now possess a 8-5 record. They play next when they travel to Presque Isle for a B North game on Saturday, January 18. Old Town will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 74-16 non-league win over Greater Houlton Christian Academy (Houlton, ME). The Wildcats record now stands at 7-5.

With the loss, Mount Desert Island falls to 7-4 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Washington Academy (East Machias, ME) to confront the Raiders in a B North game on Thursday, January 16. The Raiders go into the game with a record of 6-7. Washington Academy won 48-45 in their recent non-league game against Narraguagus (Harrington, ME)
