In Wednesday's league test, the Northwest Whitfield Bruins (Tunnel Hill, GA) basketball squad knocked off the host Gilmer Bobcats (Ellijay, GA), by a score of 66-57.

Next, the Bruins encounter the Heritage Generals (Ringgold, GA) in a AAA Region 7 test, on Friday, January 17. Northwest Whitfield will attempt to improve on its 12-3 season record. The Generals come into the test with a 8-8 record after their 53-33 non-league loss to Silverdale Academy (Chattanooga, TN).
