Minnesota High School Basketball - Cannon Falls crushes Zumbrota-Mazeppa
January 16, 2024: Cannon Falls, MN 55009 Cannon Falls Bombers (Cannon Falls, MN) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Zumbrota-Mazeppa Cougars (Zumbrota, MN), 66-40 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Cannon Falls upgrades its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Bombers travel to Lourdes (Rochester, MN) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 20. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 3-15. Lourdes lost 65-38 in their recent non-league bout against Byron (Byron, MN)
Next up, the Cougars play the Pine Island Panthers (Pine Island, MN) in a AA Section 1 bout, on Friday, January 19. Zumbrota-Mazeppa will attempt to upgrade on its 8-6 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 8-6 record after their 82-27 non-league loss to Stewartville (Stewartville, MN).
