The Fairfax Stampede (Laveen, AZ) basketball nipped the visiting Central Bobcats (Phoenix, AZ), 56-49 in Tuesday's league test.

The Stampede (9-8) will now prepare for their test against Sierra Linda (Phoenix, AZ). The Bulldogs go into the 5A Metro test with a 3-14 record. In their last test, Sierra Linda got by Metro Tech (Phoenix, AZ), 49-44, in a league test.
