The Cozad Haymakers basketball team scored 62 points and limited the visiting Gothenburg Swedes to 59 in the Haymakers league triumph on Thursday.

The Haymakers now have a 11-2 record. They play next when they travel to Centura for a non-league game on Saturday, January 18. Cozad will confront a Centurions team coming off a 60-36 league loss to Doniphan-Trumbull (Doniphan, NE). The Centurions record now stands at 5-6.

With the loss, Gothenburg falls to 6-5 on the campaign. The Swedes host Chase County (Imperial, NE) to confront the Longhorns in a C1 District 11 game on Friday, January 17. The Longhorns go into the game with a record of 6-6. Chase County won 58-54 in their recent non-league game against Perkins County (Grant, NE)
