The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Cross County Cougars (Stromsburg, NE) and the host Twin River Titans (Genoa, NE), observed Cross County's basketball team knock off Twin River by a score of 62-43.

The Cougars (10-2) will now prepare for their challenge against David City (David City, NE). The Scouts come into the non-league challenge with a 2-10 record. In their last challenge, David City was knocked off by Raymond Central (Raymond, NE), 51-35, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Titans encounter the Meridian Mustangs (Daykin, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. Twin River will attempt to improve on its 4-9 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 1-10 record after their 61-46 non-league loss to Shelby-Rising City (Shelby, NE).
