The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Mountain Pointe Pride (Phoenix, AZ) and the visiting Desert Mountain Wolves (Scottsdale, AZ), witnessed Mountain Pointe's basketball squad run past Desert Mountain by a count of 57-40.

With the victory, Mountain Pointe advances its record to 10-4 on the year. The Pride host Arizona College Prep (Chandler, AZ) to meet the Knights in a 5A East Sky battle on Thursday, January 22. The Knights enter the battle with a record of 11-8.

The Wolves now own a 10-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Arizona College Prep for a 5A East Sky battle on Tuesday, January 20. Desert Mountain will battle a Knights team coming off a 63-22 league loss to Campo Verde (Gilbert, AZ). The Knights record now stands at 11-8.
