Texas High School Basketball - Centennial can't hold off Emerson
January 17, 2023: Frisco, TX 75035 The Centennial Titans basketball team (Frisco, TX), was nudged 50-49 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Emerson Mavericks (McKinney, TX)
The Mavericks now sport a 10-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lebanon Trail for a 5A Region II District 10 battle on Friday, January 20. Emerson will battle a Trail Blazers team coming off a 64-24 league loss to Centennial (Frisco, TX). The Trail Blazers record now stands at 8-13.
The Titans (16-9) will now prepare for their battle against Liberty (Frisco, TX). The Redhawks come into the 5A Region II District 10 battle with a 18-6 record. In their last battle, Liberty was nudged by Memorial (Frisco, TX), 86-80, in a league battle.
