Georgia High School Basketball - Lanier trounces Habersham Central
January 17, 2023: Sugar Hill, GA 30518 The Lanier Longhorns (Sugar Hill, GA) basketball crushed the visiting Habersham Central Raiders (Mt. Airy, GA), 70-42 in Tuesday's league test.
The Longhorns (14-4) will now prepare for their test against Apalachee (Winder, GA). The Wildcats go into the AAAAAA Region 8 test with a 5-13 record. In their last match, Apalachee was routed by North Forsyth (Cumming, GA), 67-30, in a league match.
With the defeat, Habersham Central moves to 11-6 on the year. The Raiders travel to Jackson County (Jefferson, GA) to meet the Panthers in a AAAAAA Region 8 match on Friday, January 20. The Panthers enter the match with a record of 1-17. Jackson County lost 75-54 in their recent league match against Gainesville (Gainesville, GA)
