Georgia High School Basketball - Habersham Central thwarted by Lanier
February 7, 2023: Mt. Airy, GA 30563 The Habersham Central Raiders basketball team (Mt. Airy, GA), was toppled 79-65 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Lanier Longhorns (Sugar Hill, GA)
The Longhorns now possess a 20-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Apalachee for a AAAAAA Region 8 battle on Friday, February 10. Lanier will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 58-43 league loss to North Forsyth (Cumming, GA). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-18.
The Raiders (14-9) will now prepare for their battle against Jackson County (Jefferson, GA). The Panthers come into the AAAAAA Region 8 battle with a 1-23 record. In their last outing, Jackson County was beaten by Gainesville (Gainesville, GA), 77-60, in a league outing.
