The Porter Cowboys basketball team (Brownsville, TX), was routed 74-42 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Mercedes Tigers (Mercedes, TX)

The Tigers now sport a 13-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lopez for a 5A Region IV District 32 battle on Friday, January 20. Mercedes will battle a Lobos team coming off a 45-42 league loss to Veterans Memorial (Brownsville, TX). The Lobos record now stands at 17-9.
