In Tuesday's league match, the visiting Wakefield Fighting Owls basketball team scored a tight 51-44 triumph over the Randolph-Macon Academy Yellow Jackets.

In their next game, the Fighting Owls meet the Eastern Mennonite Flames (Harrisonburg, VA) in a non-league match, on Friday, January 20. Wakefield will attempt to move on its 6-2 season record. The Flames enter the match with a 9-4 record after their 66-41 league win over Covenant (Charlottesville, VA).

With the defeat, Randolph-Macon Academy moves to 4-4 on the year.
