In Thursday's league outing, the Wakefield Fighting Owls (The Plains, VA) basketball squad edged the visiting Randolph-Macon Academy Yellow Jackets (Front Royal, VA), by a count of 57-56.

The Fighting Owls (10-5) will now prepare for their outing against Shenandoah Valley Academy (New Market, VA). The go into the non-league outing with a 4-2 record. In their last outing, Shenandoah Valley Academy held off Randolph-Macon Academy (Front Royal, VA), 58-47, in a non-league outing.

The Yellow Jackets now hold a 8-8 record. They play next when they host Quantico for a VISAA Division III outing on Tuesday, February 14.
