Aledo Bearcats (Aledo, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Rider Raiders (Wichita Falls, TX), 56-32 in a league bout.

With the victory, Aledo upgrades its record to 13-14 on the campaign. The Bearcats travel to Northwest (Justin, TX) to play the Texans in a 5A Region I District 5 bout on Friday, January 20. The Texans come into the bout with a record of 19-9. Northwest lost 40-34 in their recent league bout against Saginaw (Saginaw, TX)

Next up, the Raiders play the Brewer Bears (Fort Worth, TX) in a 5A Region I District 5 bout, on Friday, January 20. Rider will attempt to upgrade on its 0-20 season record. The Bears come into the bout with a 21-3 record after their 64-32 league win over Granbury (Granbury, TX).
