The North Lincoln Knights basketball team (Lincolnton, NC), was nudged 43-40 in Tuesday's league battle with the host East Lincoln Mustangs (Denver, NC)

The Mustangs now sport a 8-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hickory for a non-league battle on Friday, January 20. East Lincoln will battle a Red Tornadoes team coming off a 40-34 non-league win over Statesville (Statesville, NC). The Red Tornadoes record now stands at 11-3.

The Knights (11-2) will now prepare for their battle against Statesville (Statesville, NC). The Greyhounds come into the non-league battle with a 6-7 record. In their last battle, Statesville was nudged by Hickory (Hickory, NC), 40-34, in a non-league battle.
