The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Chopticon Braves (Morganza, MD) and the visiting Thomas Stone Cougars (Waldorf, MD), witnessed Chopticon's basketball squad hold off Thomas Stone by a count of 54-48.

With the victory, Chopticon advances its record to 7-6 on the year. The Braves host St. Charles (Waldorf, MD) to meet the in a Southern Maryland battle on Wednesday, January 22. The enter the battle with a record of 7-3. St. Charles lost 52-46 in their recent non-league challenge against North Point (Waldorf, MD)

In their next game, the Cougars encounter the Leonardtown Raiders (Leonardtown, MD) in a Southern Maryland challenge, on Wednesday, January 22.
