Iowa High School Basketball - Gladbrook-Reinbeck can't hold off Grundy Center
January 17, 2025: Reinbeck, IA 50669 Grundy Center Spartans (Grundy Center, IA) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Gladbrook-Reinbeck Rebels (Reinbeck, IA), 57-52 in a league match.
With the victory, Grundy Center advances its record to 12-0 on the year. The Spartans host South Hardin (Eldora, IA) to face the Tigers in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 21. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 6-7. South Hardin lost 66-57 in their recent non-league match against East Marshall (Le Grand, IA)
The Rebels now own a 8-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to AGWSR for a North Iowa Cedar - West match on Tuesday, January 21. Gladbrook-Reinbeck will face a Cougars squad coming off a 57-42 non-league loss to Hudson (Hudson, IA). The Cougars record now stands at 4-10.
