January 13, 2025: Hudson, IA 50643 Grundy Center Spartans (Grundy Center, IA) supporters left the game happy Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Hudson Pirates (Hudson, IA), 78-32 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Grundy Center advances its record to 10-0 on the year. The Spartans host AGWSR (Ackley, IA) to meet the Cougars in a North Iowa Cedar - West match on Tuesday, January 14. The Cougars enter the match with a record of 4-8. AGWSR lost 42-38 in their recent non-league match against Jesup (Jesup, IA)
The Pirates now own a 1-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Columbus for a North Iowa Cedar - East match on Tuesday, January 14. Hudson will meet a Sailors squad coming off a 69-50 league loss to Wapsie Valley (Fairbank, IA). The Sailors record now stands at 4-4.
