In Friday's league contest, the visiting Sammamish RedHawks basketball team scored a close 58-56 win over the Mercer Island Islanders.

The RedHawks (10-7) will now prepare for their contest against Redmond (Redmond, WA). The Mustangs come into the non-league contest with a 12-3 record.

In their next game, the Islanders battle the Ballard Beavers (Seattle, WA) in a non-league contest, on Monday, January 20. Mercer Island will attempt to better on its 8-8 season record. The Beavers come into the contest with a 8-5 record after their 65-62 league loss to Franklin (Seattle, WA).
