In Friday's league contest, the host Pottsville Crimson Tide basketball team scored a close 55-52 win over the Tamaqua Blue Raiders.

The Crimson Tide (11-5) will now prepare for their contest against Palmyra (Palmyra, PA). The Cougars come into the non-league contest with a 5-5 record. In their last contest, Palmyra was tipped by Milton Hershey (Hershey, PA), 45-39, in a league contest.
