The Surprise Valley Hornets basketball squad (Cedarville, CA), was nudged 45-42 in Friday's league battle with the host Dunsmuir Tigers (Dunsmuir, CA)

With the victory, Dunsmuir advances its record to 3-9 on the year. The Tigers travel to Chester (Chester, CA) to meet the Volcanoes in a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 21. The Volcanoes enter the battle with a record of 10-4.

The Hornets now own a 3-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tulelake for a Evergreen battle on Tuesday, January 21. Surprise Valley will meet a Honkers squad coming off a 64-24 league win over Happy Camp (Happy Camp, CA). The Honkers record now stands at 8-10.
