The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Burney Raiders (Burney, CA) and the visiting Surprise Valley Hornets (Cedarville, CA), observed Burney's basketball team overwhelm Surprise Valley by a margin of 54-12.

The Raiders (10-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Big Valley (Bieber, CA). The Cardinals come into the non-league challenge with a 1-7 record. In their last challenge, Big Valley was trounced by Butte Valley (Dorris, CA), 53-40, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Hornets battle the Butte Valley Bulldogs (Dorris, CA) in a Evergreen challenge, on Wednesday, January 8. Surprise Valley will attempt to better on its 2-3 season record.
