The Cypress Creek Cougars (Houston, TX) basketball nipped the host Memorial Mustangs (Houston, TX), 44-42 in Wednesday's league test.

The Cougars (21-5) will now prepare for their test against Stratford (Houston, TX). The Spartans go into the 6A Region III District 17 test with a 15-9 record. In their last test, Stratford got by Cy-Fair (Cypress, TX), 67-52, in a league test.
