The Galax Maroon Tide routed the visiting Northwood Panthers basketball team by a final score of 68-6 in Wednesday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Maroon Tide face the Bland County Bears (Rocky Gap, VA) in a Mountain Empire game, on Friday, January 20. Galax will attempt to move on its 9-6 season record. The Bears enter the game with a 7-9 record after their 50-18 league loss to Auburn (Riner, VA).
