Nevada High School Basketball - Lake Mead Academy tops Laughlin
January 18, 2023: Laughlin, NV 89028 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Lake Mead Academy Eagles (Henderson, NV) and the host Laughlin Cougars (Laughlin, NV), saw Lake Mead Academy's basketball squad knock off Laughlin by a count of 43-23.
With the victory, Lake Mead Academy upgrades its record to 9-5 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to White Pine (Ely, NV) to play the Bobcats in a 2A Southern challenge on Friday, January 20. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a record of 4-10. White Pine lost 63-6 in their recent league challenge against Democracy Prep Agassi Campus (Las Vegas, NV)
Next up, the Cougars play the Awaken Christian Lions (Las Vegas, NV) in a 2A Southern challenge, on Friday, January 20. Laughlin will attempt to upgrade on its 8-9 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 3-10 record after their 50-14 league loss to Needles (Needles, CA).
