January 18, 2024: Marlow, OK 73055 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Velma-Alma Comets (Velma, OK) and the host Central Bronchos (Marlow, OK), saw Velma-Alma's basketball squad wallop Central by a tally of 75-46.
With the victory, Velma-Alma improves its record to 13-2 on the campaign. The Comets travel to Marlow (Marlow, OK) to confront the Outlaws in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 20. The Outlaws come into the challenge with a record of 10-5. Marlow won 42-21 in their recent league challenge against Comanche (Comanche, OK)
Next up, the Bronchos confront the Elmore City-Pernell Badgers (Elmore City, OK) in a Oilfield challenge, on Tuesday, January 23. Central will attempt to improve on its 11-6 season record. The Badgers come into the challenge with a 9-7 record after their 61-58 league loss to Healdton (Healdton, OK).
