California High School Basketball - Fremont can't hold off Homestead
January 18, 2024: Sunnyvale, CA 94087 The Homestead Mustangs basketball team scored 55 points and restricted the host Fremont Firebirds to 52 in the Mustangs league victory on Thursday.
The Mustangs now sport a 6-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Monta Vista for a Santa Clara Valley - El Camino contest on Saturday, January 20. Homestead will battle a Matadors team coming off a 52-50 league loss to Saratoga (Saratoga, CA). The Matadors record now stands at 10-7.
The Firebirds (13-4) will now prepare for their contest against Monta Vista (Cupertino, CA). The Matadors come into the Santa Clara Valley - El Camino contest with a 10-8 record.
