Wisconsin High School Basketball - Benton knocked off by Highland
January 18, 2024: Benton, WI 53803 The Highland Cardinals basketball team scored 48 points and held the host Benton Zephyrs to 36 in the Cardinals league triumph on Thursday.
The Cardinals now sport a 14-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hillsboro for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 23. Highland will battle a Tigers team coming off a 59-39 league loss to Royall (Elroy, WI). The Tigers record now stands at 5-13.
The Zephyrs (4-12) will now prepare for their contest against River Ridge/Scales Mound (Hanover, IL). The Wildcats enter the non-league contest with a 15-6 record. In their last contest, River Ridge/Scales Mound ran past Camanche (Camanche, IA), 61-31, in a non-league contest.
