In Saturday's league test, the Pershing County Mustangs (Lovelock, NV) basketball squad got by the host West Wendover Wolverines (West Wendover, NV), by a score of 45-41.

Next, the Mustangs encounter the Silver Stage Nighthawks (Silver Springs, NV) in a 2A Northern test, on Tuesday, January 21. Pershing County will attempt to improve on its 13-4 season record.

The Wolverines (8-8) will now prepare for their test against Yerington (Yerington, NV). The Lions come into the 2A Northern test with a 11-7 record. In their last test, Yerington held off Oasis Academy (Fallon, NV), 47-23, in a league game.
