California High School Basketball - Delano holds off McFarland

January 19, 2023: McFarland, CA 93250

Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Delano Tigers (Delano, CA) and the host McFarland Cougars (McFarland, CA), saw Delano's basketball squad hold off McFarland by a tally of 66-62.

With the victory, Delano improves its record to 5-16 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Taft (Taft, CA) to confront the Wildcats in a South Sequoia challenge on Monday, January 23. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 6-12.

Next up, the Cougars confront the Brentwood School Eagles (Los Angeles, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 21. McFarland will attempt to improve on its 8-11 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 19-3 record after their 105-77 league win over Viewpoint (Calabasas, CA).
