West Central Area Knights (Barrett, MN) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Sauk Centre Mainstreeters (Sauk Centre, MN), 56-50 in a non-league bout.

With the win, West Central Area upgrades its record to 11-2 on the season. The Knights travel to B O L D (Olivia, MN) to clash with the Warriors in a non-league bout on Friday, January 20. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 5-5.

Next up, the Mainstreeters clash with the Melrose Dutchmen (Melrose, MN) in a AA Section 6 bout, on Friday, January 20. Sauk Centre will attempt to upgrade on its 7-2 season record. The Dutchmen go into the bout with a 8-2 record after their 47-44 non-league loss to Paynesville (Paynesville, MN).
