January 19, 2024: Grinnell, IA 50112 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Grinnell Tigers (Grinnell, IA) and the visiting Vinton-Shellsburg Vikings (Vinton, IA), saw Grinnell's basketball squad wallop Vinton-Shellsburg by a tally of 62-34.
With the victory, Grinnell improves its record to 10-3 on the campaign. The Tigers host South Tama County (Tama, IA) to confront the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 23. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 4-7. South Tama County won 57-46 in their recent league challenge against Benton (Van Horne, IA)
Next up, the Vikings confront the Jesup J-Hawks (Jesup, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 22. Vinton-Shellsburg will attempt to improve on its 2-9 season record. The J-Hawks come into the challenge with a 7-4 record after their 63-59 league win over Union (La Porte City, IA).
