Iowa High School Basketball - Grinnell crushes Vinton-Shellsburg
February 6, 2024: Vinton, IA 52349 Grinnell Tigers (Grinnell, IA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Vinton-Shellsburg Vikings (Vinton, IA), 78-41 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Grinnell upgrades its record to 14-5 on the season. The Tigers travel to Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, IA) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Friday, February 9. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 11-9. Mt. Vernon lost 66-60 in their recent non-league bout against Marion (Marion, IA)
Next up, the Vikings play the Independence Mustangs (Independence, IA) in a WAMAC - West bout, on Friday, February 9. Vinton-Shellsburg will attempt to upgrade on its 2-16 season record.
