California High School Basketball - Sweetwater crushes Hilltop

January 19, 2024: National City, CA 91950

Sweetwater Red Devils (National City, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Hilltop Lancers (Chula Vista, CA), 53-27 in a league bout.

With the win, Sweetwater upgrades its record to 7-9 on the season. The Red Devils host Crawford (San Diego, CA) to play the Colts in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 20. The Colts go into the bout with a record of 10-10. Crawford lost 73-44 in their recent league bout against Point Loma (San Diego, CA)

Next up, the Lancers play the Chula Vista Spartans (Chula Vista, CA) in a Freelance bout, on Wednesday, January 24. Hilltop will attempt to upgrade on its 1-18 season record. The Spartans go into the bout with a 6-14 record after their 78-41 league loss to Southwest SD (San Diego, CA).
