Iowa High School Basketball - Prairie City-Monroe tops West Marshall
January 19, 2024: State Center, IA 50247 Prairie City-Monroe Mustangs (Monroe, IA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host West Marshall Trojans (State Center, IA), 55-43 in a league bout.
With the victory, Prairie City-Monroe upgrades its record to 7-7 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Saydel (Des Moines, IA) to play the Eagles in a Heart of Iowa - Large bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 5-6.
Next up, the Trojans play the Colo-NESCO Royals (Colo, IA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 22. West Marshall will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record. The Royals come into the bout with a 8-4 record after their 66-54 non-league loss to Baxter (Baxter, IA).
